The Downtown Exchange Club of Billings was chartered in 1950. The Club has in its 60 plus years donated in excess of one million dollars to local non-profit organizations and projects that benefit our community.
Our primary fundraising comes from the sale of beer at events at the METRA grandstand. Members are asked to participate in this fundraiser each year. The number of shifts, typically 4 to 6, requested of each member depends on the actual number of events that occur during the year. Spouse participation is welcomed and counts toward the total shifts worked by the member.
The ECGC Par 3 Golf Course provides another source of charitable funds. The Downtown Exchange Club instigated the Par 3 Golf Course in the late 70’s and participates in a management role to this day. A portion of the net revenue flows through our club to local city parks and recreation projects.
The clubs’ 50th anniversary marked the beginning of the Billings Exchange Clubs Foundation for the Prevention of Child Abuse. This foundation’s sole purpose is to fund local programs that are effective in the prevention of child abuse.
Bringing guests who are potential new members of the club is welcomed. The club pays for guests lunches.
Social events are scheduled several times throughout the year usually at a nominal cost to members.
Members are encouraged to participate in the club’s standing committees and fundraising projects.
